From photograph to finished artwork

Every digital artwork by Luca Augello begins with a real photograph he has made. This page explains how that original frame is captured, transformed, and prepared for print.

Three stages

How each artwork is made

01 Field capture

Each piece starts with optical capture under controlled studio illumination or on-location exposure. The original photograph sets the composition, light, and tonal range.

02 Digital transformation

Development isolates tonality, texture, and structural geometry from the source frame. The image is reworked until its color and dark tones hold together as a finished artwork.

03 Print proofing

Final outputs are calibrated for large-format fine art printing and digital displays. Proofs are checked so that prints and digital files match the intended artwork.

Close study

A high-resolution magnification compares the original surface texture of the source photograph with the final digital output, showing how fine detail carries through the transformation.
